  Hi Wayne,

  My real name is of course is Cristo (as in Count of ) but I don't want to give to much away at the moment just in case I get recaptured and become a prisoner again.Which would of course take away all the freedoms I hold so dear,such as freedom of expression and of thought.You know the kind of freedoms that men and women have died for over the centuries.The right to vote is a good one. If I don't like the guys in charge of running things and the way they carry out their responsibilities I can democratically vote them out,unlike the so called theocratic way of doing things that is practiced by the Boys from Brooklyn.Hey! that would make a good topic .Hold on and I will start one.

  Jigsaw puzzles anyone?

  i love them.

  there was a time when i always had one on a large cardboard that i could push under the sofa when i needed the table.

  believe me they helped my sanity during my last few years as a dub.. i had to give them up when i got cats because they thought all those nice little puzzle pieces were cat-sized hockey pucks.

  Hi, Lady lee,

  I love a good jigsaw but it has to be the right picture and I usually do them mostly in the winter.I bought a few on E. Bay last winter and still have some to do from last Christmas. The ones I really like are the Wasgij (Jigsaw backwards) series, which has picture on the front of the box and the hilarious picture to complete is different from the picture on the box but is in someways connected to the view.The one I am going to get for next winter is one with a picture of a christmas morning surprise, it has something to do with what santa clause left but you don't see it until completion( does that sound naff?)

  I also like the nostalgic ones of paintings of the fiftys or of Victorian scenes ,towns and country scenes are also interesting, but any picture really that grabs my attention. Tried a Thomas Kingade 3D puzzle once but it wouldn't hang together to well,ended up giving it away.

  Jigsaws are a great way to unwind and relax if you can get into it, but you need some spare time ,and if this rain doesn't stop pouring on little old England the jigsaw is coming out this weekend.It's called The Mouth of the River and has one thousand pieces.That title is apt at the moment me thinks.

  Hi Minimus,

  In my day they were called circuit servants and I have been racking my brain for ages trying to remember their names.I remember one particular guy of German origin who could give very good talks which made you feel better but in reality were pep talks to get more people out in service.He made a whole load of well meaning sisters feel guilty one time when he asked "Has anyone been to see the new film The Greatest Story Ever Told ?"(I think it was that one , where Jeffery Hunter played Jesus) I looked round when I heard some sisters murmering rapturously "yes I have."I knew what was coming next and he said sternly, "well if you haven't, do not go, because it's full of gross errors."He went on to say it could lead you away from the truth.After those comments you could have heard a pin drop as all those who had risked disfellowship and an enquiry in the back room plus loss of life in the new system of things shrunk back in their chairs and hid behind their watchtowers.

  I still can't think of his name this was in the UK in the early sixties. He was a bit of a linquist and had recently come over from Portugal with his wife.There was another guy a Scottish CO or DO, maybe even BO.He was only small so he must have been a short circuit overseer.I'm not sure if he wasn't called Carmichael, something like that, somebody who goes way back might jog my memory.

  It was such a long time ago I can't remember their names but the odds are that they are pushing up daisies by now, thus fulfilling their often repeated prophetic statement, "millions now living will never die."

  I do remember one saying to the congo " You know there are a few in this hall who will not make it through armageddon." He was complaining about the lack of total commitment to field service on the part of some of the bros. and sisters.At the time I thought if this is christianity you can shove it and of course it was another defining moment when I began to realise ,"hey this is some heavy lunacy."

  I know you remember and liked some of them but could you just mention after their names the words," seriously brainwashed ."

  I wasn't going to post today until I read about this diabolic act . Maybe there is a justice higher than human justice.If there is I hope the Watchtower Leaders get what's coming to them.If there is any member of the governing body who has any doubts about this stupid blood doctrine then let them stand up NOW and be counted and do something to stop this evil practice.

  Was she asked to drink/eat blood ,? no! Just a transfer of blood in order to save her precious life.Talk about the encouragement of suicide bombers the W/T leaders are tarred with the same brush because they have promised her a life in paradise for following their instructions .Jesus would say to them that this is not an example of christian love and that they should VALUE human life not throw it away because of some obscure out of date law that has hardly any relevance in this day and age.

  To the Governing Members ; Wake up you blind men and act like true christians if that is what you claim to be ,do you realise what a mad example of your religion you are showing to the rest of the world, a world which you claim to be so evil.Check out your own way of doing things before you condemn other followers of the Christ.You sanctimonious double-dealing hypocrites ,white washed walking dead men,full of empty sayings and promises ,never lifting a finger to really help suffering humanity .You have actually taken this womans life by leading her astray by putting twisted thoughts into her mind .Do you have no feeling of responsibility what so ever for your evil ways?

  i happened to come across the word machiavellian.heard it plenty of times but never really knew what it meant.it's an adjective and sums up the jw leadership like no other word.it means as follows ; .

  elaborately cunning ; scheming, unscrupulous,deceitful, shrewd, crafty,wily,foxy, tricky,perfidious,nefarious,treacherous,sneaky .. well i guess that just about covers it.unless anyone can come up with anymore.. .

  Yes spent time in the borg,yes escaped by the skin of my teeth, just in the nick of time after being kept captive to the evil concept when I was just a young man.Did Machie advocate that the end justifies the means? I will certainly search out his books . Thanks for the info.It's a word that seems to crop up in political debate from time to time but I never looked it up .I learn something new here every day ,more than when I was held a prisoner by Barron Danglers.

  It will come back just give it time. Discouragement and despair are like a mad dog don't feed it maybe it will go away.When I get the low-downs I find walking or driving by the lochs and glens of Sotland do wonders for my spirit, but I can only go there now and again.So in the meantime I listen to one of my pick me up songs like a song called,"That's Life".Look it up when you get the chance here is just a couple of verses from it but you might know it anyway.

  I've been a puppet,a pauper,a pirate,a poet a pawn and a king

  I've been up and down and over and out and I know one thing :

  Each time I find myself flat on my face,

  I pick myself up and get back in the race.

  That's life that's what all the people say
